Day 10: Pizza Sugar Cookies

Today was the kids favorite bake day--->Pizza Cookies
roll out very large cookie balls I would say the size of a tangerine bake them 2 at time because they need a lot of room to expand
lay out all the toppings for your kids to decorate their pizza's. We use sprinkles, M&M's, Nerds, Gummi Bears, Swedish Fish, Red Licorice Ropes, Mini Kisses, Coconut and crushed Candy Canes
 spread frosting all over pizza
 and let the fun begin
then sit and enjoy your pizza--->Happy Baking :)

here is the recipe I use every year for my sugar cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into large balls, and place 2 at a time on ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake 5 mins then pat the ball down with your spatula and continue to bake another 6-8 mins until cookie looks a light golden brown, allow to cool so the frosting wont melt
